Winter Windows Spark Delight

Though the 2024 Winter Window Walk & Study Break officially wrapped up on Sunday, the fun isn’t over yet! The festive window displays from 26 participating businesses will remain up through the end of the month, so there’s still time to take a stroll and soak in the holiday cheer.

A huge thank you to the amazing local businesses for their creativity and effort! From beautifully painted windows to festive retail displays and glowing holiday lights, the U District neighborhood was all things bright and cheery this season. Participating businesses are currently voting amongst themselves for their favorite winter window display—stay tuned as The U District Partnership announces the winner this week.

Another thank you to the U District community for supporting sustainability through the newly-launched OKAPI reusable cup program! Five local cafes joined the effort, and nearly 100 people signed up during the event, enjoying close to 200 cups of coffee, hot chocolate, and specialty drinks in reusable cups. It’s an exciting step toward a greener neighborhood!
