Chi Mac

BIPOC Business

At Chi Mac, integrity starts with 100% real food and high-quality ingredients, but it doesn’t stop there. We value the experience of sharing a meal as much as our delicious fried chicken and beer, that’s why supporting community both inside and outside our restaurants is at the heart of what we do.

OUR STORY

In the early 2000s, “Chimaek” (pronounced “chee-meck”)—a Korean word describing the experience of eating distinctively crunchy, sweet, spicy, salty, and tangy Korean fried chicken, balanced by the lightness of a Korean beer—exploded across Korea; spreading across Asia and ultimately to the Americas.

Inspired by this national dining culture and pastime, we created “Chi Mac”—“Chi”—short for Chicken in English; and “Mac” short for Beer, or “maekju” in Korean; as a way to bring this uniquely Korean-American experience and delicacy to Seattle—where East and West go together like chicken and beer.

Chi Mac is at its heart a celebration of the Pacific Northwest. Experience authentic, made-to-order asian fusion with real, local ingredients and bold flavors to match.
