Our Approach
At Huckleberry Forest our focus is on the kids. Using a combination of Waldorf, Piaget and Montessori teaching principles, as well as the latest science in the development of learning in children, we strive to create a rich curriculum combining art and science.
Our Facility
is conveniently located in the University District near the I-5 freeway – quickly accessible from South Lake Union, Wallingford, Freemont, Ravenna, Maple Leaf and most of Seattle. We utilize a European model, where all children keep a set of indoor shoes at school to keep the space as sanitary as possible.
Our Meals
All of our meals are vegetarian and prepared by staff on site. With a focus on nutrition, we strive to include a wide range of healthy ingredients and multi-ethnic cuisine.
Our Teachers
Our school’s founders have over 30 years experience as educators teaching preschool children. Our Administrator, Aida Mahmulyin, has created an open, friendly work environment, committed to a 7-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio, which allows us increased one-on-one time with each child. All of our teachers utilize a strategy of positivity.
