TWO DAYS OF LIVE ENTERTAINMENT AND PERFORMANCES IN THE U DISTRICT

From jazz ensembles and marching bands to taiko drumming, lion dances and beyond, University Way comes to life with performers and artists, centered on the Main Stage featuring a weekend-long lineup of free live entertainment. Visitors will also enjoy performers, musicians, and ‘vibe enhancement’ DJs stationed throughout the event.

Make your way to Brooklyn Ave and NE 43rd for a new extension to the U District Street Fair featuring artists, makers, interactive games, and performances!

Art Park

Explore the new Gateway Park next to the U District Light Rail Station! Watch muralists bring massive canvases to life, groove to the sounds of Emerald City Soul, and test your aim with Artist Mini Golf and PNW Axe throwing. Enjoy free balloons, pet portraits by Dozfy (Saturday from 12pm-2pm), and special performances by The Flying Ghillies-Scottish Country Dancers (Sunday at 11:30am) and the Seattle Mongolian Youth Center dancers (Sunday at 2pm). Expect surprises scheduled throughout the weekend!

Makers in Motion

Step into the Makers in Motion zone at the U District Street Fair and discover the future of innovation powered by UW’s brightest makers and engineers! Marvel at robots that dominate national competitions, both a full-size solar-power car and an electric formula-style racecar you can sit in, bottle rocket launches, and even a concrete canoe that really floats. Hands-on demos and eye-popping tech, from rocket design to electrostimulation labs, will let you see science in action. Perfect for curious minds of all ages, this is your chance to meet the students shaping tomorrow’s technology.
