Regularly recognized as one of the best farmers markets in the U.S., the University District Farmers Market is Seattle’s largest and oldest farm-and-food-only market, founded in 1993. Located between 50th and 52nd Streets on “The Ave” (the colloquial name for University Way), the market has a core group of “lifers” – farmers and food artisans who have been there, if not since the beginning, then darn near that long!

Join the University of Washington Chorale for Songs in Sanctuary, an afternoon choral performance at the Henry. Presented in conjunction with Josh Faught: Sanctuary and taking place within the exhibition, the performance will feature musical expressions of texture and weaving as explored in Faught’s textile works. Free to attend, RSVP recommended.

Aquatic Sciences Open House is a free and family-friendly day of hands-on learning to celebrate science and research relating to water. Visitors can step on board a research boat used for local science, and experience real working science labs at the university. hands-on activities led by current UW students, staff, postdocs, and faculty and by organizations from the greater Seattle area. Interpretation services available in Spanish, ASL, Vietnamese, Somali, and Tagalog.
